2010 - NoteBooks Distribution - Thanh Phong A Elementary School

Thanh Phong-A elementary school is one of the 14 schools we have helped this year. This is NOT a single school. It comprises of all elementary schools in the island villages. The main Thanh Phong-A elementary school is located in Cồn Chim, and this one has all grades from 1st to 5th. The other elementary schools in this group scattered around the island villages. Most of them only have up to 2nd or 3rd grade. The bigger village like Con Mit has up to 4th grade. Any island-village student wants to complete elementary school must commute to Con Chim as this is the only village in the island villages that has 5th grade. Statistically the island villages have the highest illiteracy rate due to the lack of schools and long commute. This is another reason for our Bicycle project. We want to give these students the means to pursue at least through elementarỵ

We have distributed notebooks to 190 needy students in Thanh Phong-A elementary school in Thanh Phu district in the morning of May 25th, 2010. Each got 10 notebooks, and each notebook is 100 pages.

Attached are the letter of appreciation from the principal of the school confirming the acceptance of the goods, list of names of 190 students who received the notebooks, and the pictures taken in the school ground as the notebooks were distributed.

2010 - Phát tập cho các em nghèo của trường tiểu học Thạnh Phong A

Trường tiểu học Thạnh Phong-A là 1 trong 14 trường chúng ta đã giúp năm nay. Tất cả các trường tiểu học ở Xứ Cồn đều được gọi nhập chung vào một tên này. Trường tiểu học chánh Thạnh Phong A ở Cồn Chim và có tất cả các lớp của bậc tiểu học từ lớp 1 tới lớp 5. Các trường khác trong xứ Cồn thường chỉ có tới lớp 2, hay 3. Cồn Mít có tới lớp 4 vì dân số đông hơn và lớn hơn. Tất cả các em ở Xứ Cồn muốn xong bậc tiểu học đều phải tới Cồn Chim vì đây là nơi duy nhất có tới lớp 5. Các em ở Xứ Cồn có tỉ lệ thất học cao hơn tất cả nơi khác vì không có đủ trường và phương tiện di chuyển khó khăn. Đây là lý do mà chúng ta đã làm chương trình Phát Xe Đạp cho các em. Chúng ta muốn các em này có phương tiện để tiếp tục được học ít nhất hết bậc tiểu học.

Chúng ta đã phát tập cho 190 em tại trường tiểu học Thạnh Phong-A vào sáng ngày 25 tháng 5, 2010. Mỗi em được 10 cuốn tập, mỗi cuốn 100 trang. Kèm theo đây là lá thơ cảm ơn của hiệu trưởng của trường, xác nhận số phần quà nhận được, và danh sách của 190 em nghèo được cấp bởi hiệu trưởng.
