Notebook Distribution Project - Phát Tập
Each year a student will need from 10 to 20 notebooks. For students who cannot afford to buy text books, notebooks are an integral part of their education as they must write everything down to study. There are many students who quit at the end of the first or second grade because their parents couldn't afford to buy notebooks for them. Ten notebooks are just a few dollars, yet it can buy these students a whole year of education; and for some of them it can be the difference between literacy and illiteracy. Our program is catered to help these students. We schedule the notebook distribution in April, just around the end of the school year, so these students know they will have notebooks available for next year.
Hàng năm các em học sinh phải cần từ 10 tới 20 cuốn tập. Đối với các em học sinh nghèo thì tập là một nhu cầu thiết yếu để tiếp tục học vì không có tiền mua sách nên tất cả những gì cần học đều được viết xuống tập. Có nhiều em mới học lớp Một hay lớp Hai đã phải bỏ học chỉ vì không có tiền mua tập. Mười cuốn tập chỉ có vài đô thôi nhưng mua được cho các em thêm 1 năm học, và có nhiều khi là sự khác biệt giữa biết chữ và mù chữ. Vì thế chương trình này được thực hiện vào cuối khóa học để các em biết năm sau sẽ có tập mà tiếp tục đi học.
